My new name

All dressed up just to go outside. I love going on strolls even though I usually end up falling asleep.

So I got another middle name today. Lola means honor and wealth. I'll probably get more names when I have my naming ceremony.

Happy 1 month birthday

Its hard to believe, but this chunker you see in the picture is the same Jaden who just 2 weeks ago had a tube down her nose. Its amazing how quickly they grow and develop. From 4 and a half pounds to now 7 pounds. We really thank God for taking care of our precious child.

Tube out

Yeepee, my baby's tube finally came out. She has began eating well, thus the tube came out this morning. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. Enjoy her tube free picture :)

Jaden's hospitalization

My little angel wasn't eating enough at home so she had to be hospitalized for 2 days. She got a feeding tube and came home today with it. Here is a picture of my little angel with her feeding tube still in place. She looks like she has a small elephants trunk :)

My name

So after a week of prayer, deliberation and discussions, we finally have a name for our beautiful angel. We've been calling her JAD (Junior Althea and Dayo) for the past 9 months.

So now, her first name is JADEN which means Jehovah has heard.

Her middle name is MORAYO which means I see joy.

Home Coming

THANKS

We would like to say thanks to everyone for all the phone calls, gifts and well wishes. JAD came home with us last night. She weighed 4lbs 6oz yesterday, and 4lbs 8oz today. Still small and tiny, but doing well. Mom is well too.

Here is a picture of me with my proud but tired parents. Daddy was on call the previous night and got very little sleep. Mommy was not on call, but she stayed up all night cleaning and getting the house ready for me :)

Birth Announcement

I would like to announce that JAD was born July 29, 2009 at 8:54 P.M. She was so little, weighing only 4lbs 15 ounces (2.26 Kg). Both mom and baby are doing very well and should be home by Friday. Enjoy her pictures.

By the way, I was delivered by a very skilled ob/gyn physician by the name of Dr. Onibokun. I highly recommend him.

Belly Picture

So here is a picture of Althea's belly taken when JAD was 29 4/7 weeks. You won't believe it, but JAD was already 2 lbs by then.

Baby's movement

So, Althea has been complaining about not feeling JAD move, despite being 22 weeks already. Good thing we have dopplers at home to check JAD's heartbeat ourselves. A friend of mine (thanks Tanya) told us that she is probably feeling the baby move but she doesn't know what that is yet. Sure enough, all of a sudden this evening Althea goes "I think I feel JAD summersaulting".

We later went to bible study, and all of a sudden Althea starts giggling because JAD is moving all over the place.

Now I can't wait to feel her moving too. Moms have all the luck :)

Hello, thats my picture up there. My parents call me JAD. I used to be just JD - Junior Dayo. However, my mom insisted on having her name included since she was doing all the work. So now I am Junior Althea and Dayo. Isn't that JAAD, not JAD. Anyways, enjoy my 17 week picture.
